Daylilies Hybridized by Daylily Breeder Donald Marvin

Don Marvin of Mattapoisett, Massachusetts started actively hybridizing daylilies in the 1970's.  Tranquil Lake Nursery introduced his first daylily, Quaker Gown in 1983 and provided the limited number but lovely daylilies that he produced over the next 11 years.   Don Marvin joined the American Hemerocallis Society in 1950 and began hybridizing daylilies in 1955 with diploid daylilies, but soon after developed a passion for the tetraploid daylilies, because of their more brilliant colors, sturdiness and hardiness.

The daylilies that are listed below are in good supply.  We ship healthy double-fan divisions or clumps (4-5 fans), unless other-wise indicated. Occasionally, low stock varieties and some new introductions will be shipped as single fans. Our guarantee still applies.
