MISS PEACH (Pride) 30", D., M., 7¼" NA
There are other tetraploids of good peach color but I know of few others with as beautifully ruffled and fluted flower parts, as fertile both regarding pollen and seeds and the ability to set up to fourteen pods to a spike with as many as eighteen seeds to a pod even from the very difficult parents. Spikes flower on different length stems giving a bush-like appearance. Miss Peach flowers over a long period because of indeterminate budding which is also rare in a hemerocallis. It will often have five flowers open at a time. Introduced by Tranquil Lake Nursery in 1972.
